Cultural Diversity

This requirement is met by taking six semester hours of coursework designed to enhance cultural diversity. Many of the courses that meet this requirement can also be used to satisfy part of the humanities and fine arts and the social and behavorial sciences requirements. When a course can be used in this manner, it is noted as such in the provided course listings.

Category I

A minimum of three semester hours must be met with coursework dealing with U. S. racial or Hispanic minority groups.

Category II

The remaining three hours of this requirement can be satisfied with another three hours in minority studies, coursework in women’s studies, or coursework with an international or foreign focus.
