New and Prospective Students

Greetings, and welcome to the UNO Computer Science department's web. We hope you find lots of useful information here. Of course, if there is something you can't find, or if you just want to ask a general question, feel free to contact us!

The university, the College of Information Science and Technology (IS&T), and the department have open houses several times a year. These are excellent opportunities to visit campus, explore the resources available, and chat with faculty and advisors about your goals.

The college and the Peter Kiewit Institute also have summer programs for students in various categories, and you may be interested in some of these. The next such program is the 9th annual Academy of Excellence, which brings promising high school sophomores to Omaha for “hands-on exploration of information science, technology, and engineering”.
