Integrated Undergraduate-Graduate Program

The purpose of this program is to provide outstanding undergraduate students in the College of IS&T an option to complete the undergraduate and master's degrees in computer science in five years. The accelerated program is designed for students who are motivated and willing to take on early the challenges of graduate education. As such, the program involves both intensive study and preparation in computer science.

The integrated program allows students to follow either the general computer science study plan or a specialized concentration study plan. Seven concentration areas are provided:

• artificial intelligence
• database and knowledge engineering
• information assurance
• languages
• network technologies
• software engineering
• systems

The selected area of concentration will be noted on the student's transcripts. The program offers three degree options: thesis, project, and course work. Within each of the degree options, a student can choose from the general MS plan or from one or more of the seven concentration plans.
