Coursework Program

The coursework program has the following requirements.

• Complete a minimum of 36 semester hours of coursework.
• At least 27 of the 36 semester hours must be obtained from taking graduate-only courses (those with numbers ending in 0).
• At least 9 semester hours are required in any one of the areas of specialization, or in two strongly-related areas of specialization (with the approval of the graduate program committee).
• At most 6 semester hours of credit for Independent Study (CSCI 8970) can be applied to the degree.
• Pass the capstone course (CSCI 8910).
