Project Program
The project program has the following requirements.
- Complete a minimum of 36 semester hours, which includes
a project (CSCI 8960) of
6 semester hours.
- At least 21 of the 36 semester hours must be obtained from
taking graduate-only courses (those with numbers ending in 0).

At least 9 semester hours are required in any one of the
areas of specialization, or in two
strongly-related areas of specialization
(with the approval of the
graduate program committee).

At most 3 semester hours of credit for Independent Study
(CSCI 8970) can be applied
to the degree.

The project should follow the same guideline as the thesis
option except it is processed internally in the department.
