Graduate Program Admission Requirements Applicants with an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering from an accredited institution are expected to have a GPA of at least 3.0. Applicants who have degrees in other fields will also be considered for admission. Students may make up their deficiencies in computer science by completing the transition program. Applicants must submit the admission application along with original copies of their scores on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) and, if applicable, the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). A minimum TOEFL score of 550 (or 213 if computer-based) is required. Scores on the GRE and TOEFL exams must be less than 5 years old at the time the application is processed by the university. The GRE test requirement is waived if:
Applicants are required to submit two recommendation letters and a professional resume. The resume should be sent directly to the graduate admission office. Applications for the graduate program are evaluated by the graduate college and the computer science department's Graduate Program Committee. Both evaluations must be complete before an admission decision will be made. Admission status can be checked online; you will need to enter your NUID or SSN and PIN selected on your application for admission. |
