Graduate Program

We are pleased to introduce you to the graduate program in Computer Science at the College of Information Science and Technology. Students entering our program seek professional, academic or research careers in the field of computing and information technology. Preparation of these careers includes classroom instruction, research endeavors, hands-on experience, guided study, internships and seminars.

Our graduate faculty in computer science use state-of-the-art facilities to provide up-to-date graduate instruction, conduct both applied and basic research, produce innovative and usable concepts and methods that can find applications, and supervise graduate projects and theses.

The computer science graduate program attracts students from around the globe and from a diversity of cultures. Students who have full-time jobs find our program attractive due to the flexibility in class offerings, especially the availability of evening classes. We invite applicants with undergraduate degrees in computer science as well as other disciplines. Applicants with bachelor's degrees in fields other than computer science who may desire to strengthen their backgrounds are welcome. Transition courses are available to prepare these applicants for graduate studies in computer science.

We invite you to visit UNO, and to meet our computer science faculty and students. We are continually evolving our computer infrastructure and laboratories, which we would like you to explore. Please feel free to contact us for additional information.

We look forward to hearing from you.
